Printed trousers!

Monday 21 June 2010

Well here they are. Some crazy trousers from Topshop. My husband thinks they look like MC Hammer pants. I think they're fab! The print reminds me of a Monet painting. I've been wearing them loads with a nude blazer, white T-shirt and old white converse. No black! Well, apart from the pockets.

Topshop Bandstand

Tuesday 15 June 2010

So, last Friday I found out I'd won 2 tickets for the Topshop Bandstand at Regents Park! Yay! After much searching for someone brave to look after our 3 little boys- success! And myself and my wonderful husband set off on the train to London for an M&S picnic on our new Primark picnic blanket. We had a great time... Thanks Topshop!

There are more picnics taking place in Birmingham and Liverpool this weekend, so get tickets if you can!

A fashionable affair

The Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony Pre-Spring 2011 presentation was held in the sculpture garden of the Elizabeth Street Gallery in New York. Guests and models wearing the collection, shared afternoon tea and mingled. What a fashionable and civilised affair! I would've loved to have been there...

Monochrome

Friday 11 June 2010

Here are some monochrome purchases I've made recently. The spots have made a nice change from stripes. The dress feels quite vintage on, as it's 100% viscose and the shape is quite 80's with small pads on the shoulder. Really enjoying both with a bit of red lippy!

A spring in my step

Tuesday 8 June 2010

With the tennis season upon us, I felt it only right to pay homage to a brand that has served me well over the last few years. Few footwear styles are timeless and versatile enough to take you through every season, year after year. For me, the Spring Court has done just that.

My first pair were a gold leather, white soled high top, and I wore them nearly every day for about a year. They are now resting after such hard work. I decided to go safe and opt for black leather for my next pair and they are proving just as versatile. A friend of mine has recently invested in a pair of the leopard print high tops and they look great with just about anything! I'm now quite taken with the pale pink ones below. I see a collection forming...

Most recently, Opening Ceremony have teamed up with the brand to create a special collaboration version of their B2 M shoe. Very nice.

Nerdy but nice

Friday 4 June 2010

Nerdy fashion isn't really my style, although I'm still waiting to get some specs (with my prescription of course), but recently I've had my eye on the 2 part sandal. As much as I love the Clarks Originals version, I just don't think I could pull them off. Unlike Chloe Sevigny who just about manages to even with socks. So I've gone for it in my slightly safer, toned down way, and invested in a black leather Topshop pair. I think my inner nerd is rearing it's neglected self...

Found

Wednesday 2 June 2010

While away in Bath last week we came across this great new shop Found. So many things in there I wanted to buy! The couple who run it were so lovely. Really impressively decked out with interesting antique furniture for displaying the stock. I especially liked the old gym frame holding the wrapping paper! I hope they do really well and open another one in Brighton...
