Pretty practical

My new Zara pumps. Aren't they great?! Anyone thinking of getting them, I have some advice. I'm often between sizes so ordered 2 pairs to make sure (which got me free delivery as over £50). The smaller size was too small and the bigger size felt good but the back slipped when I walked. So got some of those gel heel grips and they fit perfectly now! And no uncomfortable new shoe feeling. WIN.

Studio Nicholson

It was the pink Cadenza jersey that first caught my eye, but now I'd really like the white version too... and the coats! Studio Nicholson's creative director Nick Wakeman has built a range of womenswear inspired by her love of menswear, which at the same time is undoubtedly feminine. It's no wonder the beautifully simple collections consist of the kind of wardrobe staples that I would love to fill my wardrobe with.

All fired up

As promised, some pics of my new haircut. I'm over the moon with it! Not only do I love the style, but I also love how easy it is. No blow drying or straightening, just wash and leave. So more time for other things! Wearing new lipstick from Mac cosmetics new Retro Matt range "All Fired Up" and sweater from COS.

Plaid

Can't escape it! Plaid is popping up all over the place and quite frankly it's won me over. I will be getting myself some soon- preferably multiple pieces to wear together, as inspired by the Celine catwalk and perfectly executed by Christine Centenera (pic 3). Sadly I can't afford any of the covetable Stella McCartney or Celine versions but thank goodness for Zara who have plenty of plaid to choose from. Is plaid on your wishlist?

The hair

While away in France earlier this month I picked up Le Monde magazine featuring Lea Seydoux. I knew straight away that this was the style I'd be going for next. Finally a reference with someone who has the same hair type as me, ie. wavy and lots of it! So, had the cut by Claire at Electric and it looks exactly like this! I'll be sure to post a pic soon to show you.
